For you guys that are on the road or in the trail. The Garmin eTrex Vista CX is a great addition in your pack. Especially if you are going to the middle of nowhere. This would lead you on the right direction... or point you on your merry way home. =)

Easily readable backlit LCD color screen. Waterproof, and also a huge space 64MB MicroSD (which is a lot in GPS terms) to saving your tracks. Also the built-in magnetic compass (the Garmin GPSMap 60 doesn't have this, a GPS-based compass which is based on your movements in relation to the GPS positions) is a huge help if you are under thick tree covers or inside a heavily armored Hummer, where GPS signals are hard to penetrate.

Also great battery economy as well. A full day of navigation over rough roads with a 4x4, and scorching heat. There is still battery charge left good for three or more days of straight use.

Easy USB connectivity. And you could even use it with your Google Earth (Free Edition) with GPS Trackmaker (also freeware) to integrate your GPS tracks on Google Earth.

The only 'Con' that I could find is the lack of free maps that are available for the Philippines. Especially topographical maps for local mountain trails. There is a way on how to make maps for the Garmin GPS with tools, but this is time consuming and quite difficult.

Compare this to the Nokia N95 which has the built-in GPS, in my personal opinion not really that accurate and relatively slower in acquiring and locking to a GPS signal during your trip.
